Parmenides of Elea belonged to the small colony of Elea in Southern Italy. Parmenides was a Greek philosopher who argued about the nature of reality itself. According to Coxon (2009), he was the first to employ deductive logic. He incorporated the priori argument in order to justify his claims. He was also the tough competitor of Aristotle who claimed the position of Father of Logic. Known as father of Eleatic school, Parmenides was known as the philosopher of changeless being. It has also been evidenced that Parmenides was also the one who had all his faith on being and he also considered that the senses are deceptive and it is only the reason which can lead us to the identification of truth.
